South Adventures

South Adventures is a kitesurf, surf and stand up paddle school in the Lisbon area. It presents itself as one of the first kitesurf schools in Portugal, teaching since 2004 with more than 30,000 hours of lessons.

Its kitesurf instructors are accredited by IPDJ. Depending on conditions and safety, lessons take place at Guincho, Carcavelos, Costa da Caparica (its base) or Lagoa de Albufeira, two shallow lagoons near Lisbon; the windy season is given as April to the end of September, with wind almost all year. The school uses Naish Kiteboarding equipment.

It also teaches surfing, with certified instructors, and SUP on flat water or in waves. The spots listed are Guincho, Tamariz, Poça, Parede, Carcavelos, Costa da Caparica and Lagoa de Albufeira.
