Costazul Surf Alentejo is a surf school founded in 2003 by André Teixeira, based at Vieirinha beach in the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, a few kilometres from Porto Covo (office and shop on Rua Vasco da Gama). It presents itself as the first business offering surf lessons, accommodation and equipment in the Alentejo.
It offers group or tailored lessons for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers with qualified instructors, plus courses, surf safaris (transport to the best spots of the natural park, 4 to 8 people) and a surf camp. Lessons take place at Vieirinha and São Torpes, the first surf beach of the Alentejo coast, known for its warmer water.
Each lesson lasts two hours, with board, wetsuit, lycra and insurance included; equipment rental is also available.
