School Presentation
Wayke Up is a wingfoil and kitesurf school opened in 2020 by Hélène Lambrey, an IKO Level 3 instructor who also holds the FPVela kiteboard instructor diploma. The school operates on the Óbidos Lagoon, about an hour north of Lisbon and close to Peniche and Baleal.
It offers kitesurf and wingfoil lessons (wing since 2022), private or semi-private for two students sharing one set of gear, plus equipment rental by the session or by the day. Lessons last 2h30 with a wetsuit provided; for kitesurfing students must weigh over 35 kg wet and swim 100 m.
The kites and wings are Duotone; the rider gear also features Ion and Mystic. The school is registered with the FPVela (RNAAT 150/2020) and teaches in English, Portuguese, Spanish and French. Other activities (yoga, SUP, mountain biking, surfing) are offered with local partners.
