School Presentation
Mainpeak is a VDWS-certified wing foil school (no. VS25629) at Foz do Minho in Caminha, on the Spanish border, about 50 minutes from Porto and Vigo airports. It is run by Stefan Schafgassner and teaches in small groups (2 to 4 people) or private lessons, from beginner to advanced.
The Foz do Minho spot offers a flat-water river lagoon with a sandy bottom, and access to the ocean for more experienced riders; the Nortada blows steadily from April to October. Rescue boat, parking, showers, rinsing and equipment storage on site. Gear is from Duotone, ION and Fanatic.
Besides wing foiling, the centre teaches windsurfing (groups of up to 2, kids courses), rents SUPs and runs SUP tours (6 km morning paddle, trip to Forte da Insua), as well as bike rental. Wingfoil retreats with accommodation are offered in October.
