The Water Center of the FeelViana Sport Hotel, called Club North by FeelViana, presents itself as the largest water sports centre in Portugal. It is located on Cabedelo beach in Viana do Castelo, a spot that has hosted kitesurfing and windsurfing world championships.
The centre offers lessons and rental in kitesurfing, wing foiling, windsurfing, surfing and stand up paddle, as well as eFoil sessions. Lessons are given at all levels by certified instructors; rental equipment is renewed every year. The FeelViana Windsurf Academy welcomes beginners on the lake of the hotel's Wake Park, while advanced riders sail at Cabedelo.
On the beach: lockers, toilets and changing rooms. The best kitesurfing period runs from April to September, with a northwest thermal wind from early afternoon. The centre is open to the public as well as hotel guests (RNET 7085). Prices are published online at booking.
