Bonga Surf School

Bonga Surf School is the surf school of the association Bonga Surf Family ASD, led by longboarder and coach Marco Pistidda, known as Bonga. It is based on Porto Ferro beach, on the west coast of northern Sardinia, in the municipality of Sassari, and the association is registered with CONI.

Surf lessons last about two hours with equipment included and come in three levels: base (paddling, board position, reading wave direction), intermediate (technique, wave reading, priority rules) and advanced, focused on longboard. Each session includes a warm-up, beach theory, sand drills and then water practice. Enrolment requires an annual membership with insurance and a medical certificate.

The school also offers guided stand up paddle excursions of about 2.5 hours (Capo Caccia cliffs, Porto Conte park, Tramariglio, Porto Ferro beach) for 4 to 8 participants, with a night outing on summer full-moon nights. Other announced activities include adaptive surf, university surf and a Girl Surf Power 2026 programme. The instructor team includes level 1 federal instructors and ISA-certified instructors; the school displays the logo of the Italian surfing federation (FISSW). It also rents boards and wetsuits.
