Yacht Club du Maroc (ASYCM) — Mohammedia

Founded in 1946, the Yacht Club du Maroc is the historic watersports club of the coast between Casablanca and Rabat. It occupies the marina inside the port of Mohammedia and its formal name is Association Sportive du Yacht Club du Maroc (ASYCM), listed in the register of affiliated clubs of the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation. It has around 250 active members, plus the youngsters trained by its sailing school, and is run by a committee elected at the general assembly.

Sailing remains its core discipline — a sailing school run by a qualified instructor and open to local children whether members or not, Optimist regattas, and an SSL47 crew racing on the international circuit. But among the five watersports disciplines it claims, the club also lists water skiing, sport fishing and windsurfing. That last one, and that alone, is why it appears in this directory: the club advertises no windsurf fleet, no lessons and no prices, and no kitesurfing, wing or paddle at all.

The club runs a sporting and social programme all year round: in August 2026 it put on a full week of watersports activities for Morocco's Youth Day, including a day reserved for orphans from SAMU Social Casablanca with the 6Days ENCG association of Settat, a beginner-and-improver sailing course, and an offshore race off Mohammedia against the Royal Navy sailing club (CNMR). It also welcomes visiting yachts: a 24-hour harbour office, permanent VHF watch on channels 11 and 16, a restaurant, a bar and lounge areas.
