Ballyholme Yacht Club

Ballyholme Yacht Club is a sailing club in Bangor on the south shore of Belfast Lough, Northern Ireland, which describes itself as a centre of sailing in the region for over a hundred years. Besides sailing and powerboating, it runs RYA windsurfing and wingsurfing courses for adults and young people.

Windsurfing is offered as Start Windsurfing courses for adults and youths (stages 1 and 2), then an RYA Intermediate course (stance, harness work, kit set-up, first steps into footstraps and beach starts). Wingsurfing follows the RYA scheme: Stage 1, for beginners, teaches wing handling first on the beach then on the water, with a pathway to wing foiling; a youth version exists. The club also offers stand up paddleboarding and hosts events, including an open wing foil series.
