Surf Clube de Viana (Viana Surf Club)

Surf Clube de Viana (SCV) is the surf club of Viana do Castelo, founded in 1989 and based near Cabedelo beach. A sports association, it brings together officials, coaches and athletes and has a technical team and a surf school.

Every summer the club runs daily surf lessons ("Aulas de Surf de Verão"). It also carries out educational and European projects: in November 2025 its officials, coaches and athletes took part in a job-shadowing exchange in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria under the Kapacity for Sport project (Erasmus+); in December 2025 it launched the "ONDA AZUL" environmental project at the Cabedelo school; and in November 2025 it hosted the Final Meeting of the Olas Pro Tour junior circuit.
