Paul Jeggels Designs (PJD) is the shaping workshop of Paul Jeggels, who hand-shapes custom surfboards in Jeffreys Bay and states more than 40 years of experience and over 4,000 boards made. The workshop has been featured in Zigzag magazine.
The process starts with a 60-second quiz or a call with Paul, who asks about the surfer's level, local waves and expectations. The board is then hand-shaped, usually within 1 to 3 weeks, and collected from the Jeffreys Bay workshop or delivered anywhere in South Africa. Stock boards, already shaped and glassed, are also offered for sale.
