Twinsbros Surfboards, kitesurf craftsman in Livorno

Twinsbros Surfboards is an Italian surfboard maker based in Livorno (Tuscany). Brothers Renato «Rena» and Paolo «Pelo» Bertini built their first board in 1991 in their grandparents' garage; the workshop unified production in 2005 and added a roughly 500 sq m building in 2021.

Each board is pre-shaped by CNC and then hand-shaped by a shaper in a dedicated room; other rooms handle artwork, glassing, sanding, finishing, repairs and quality control. The range includes modern shapes (small wave, shortboards, big wave, grom) and retro shapes (shortboards, midlengths, longboards), plus custom SUP and kiteboard divisions.

The factory showroom lets private customers and shops view, buy and collect new and used boards, accessories and apparel. Twinsbros is also the Italian distributor of X-tra foam blanks and Scarfini fins, and offers fibreglass production for other shapers.
