Zaka Surfboards, kitesurf craftsman in Soustons

Zaka Surfboards is the workshop of shaper Pierre Cazadieu in Soustons in the Landes, at 12 rue de Mancamp, after about forty years of shaping. He made many visits and training trips to Hawaii alongside Eric Arakawa, a shaper known for the performance of his boards.

In 1998 he obtained manufacturing approval from the Hawaiian Island Creation (HIC) brand to build Zaka HIC boards in Europe. He was then contacted by Salomon as a consultant for the research and development of a new generation of high-end boards, the S-Core surfboards, and joined Salomon's Red Circle group of five international shapers, travelling to California, Hawaii, Japan and Australia.

The workshop's website presents shortboards, eggs and singles, longboards, twins and quads, a design portfolio and a contact page. The workshop offers performance and retro boards, from fish to single, bonzer and longboard. According to its Google listing it is open Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 5 pm.
