Overview

Ria Chelem is a shallow lagoon on the north coast of the Yucatan, near Progreso. Northerly winds (Nortes) and easterly trade winds create ideal flat water conditions for beginners and foiling. The sheltered lagoon offers a safe body of water with a sandy bottom, perfect for learning to kitesurf.
