Masirah Island - Sur Masirah is the spot located near the main town of Masirah Island in Oman. It is the most convenient access point for kitesurfers arriving on the island, with nearby services and accommodation. The Khareef (southwest) blows powerfully from June to September, with steady winds of 20 to 35 knots. Northeast winds dominate in winter. Sur Masirah offers semi-sheltered water thanks to the town's geography. The bottom is sandy and the water is accessible from the town beach. Proximity to services (restaurants, accommodation, equipment rental). A suitable spot as a starting point to explore the island's other spots. Masirah Island is a world-class kite destination thanks to the exceptional reliability of the Khareef wind. The main season runs from June to September with one of the highest rates of windy days in the world.
