Sandhammaren is an iconic kitesurfing spot located at the southeastern tip of Skåne, on Sweden's most southeastern coastline. This spot is known for its immense white sand dunes and wild shoreline, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Scandinavia. Sandhammaren is a cape exposed to multiple wind directions, making it a versatile spot. Southeast and east winds from the Baltic create good onshore conditions. South and southwest winds, which are very frequent, offer excellent side-shore conditions. In strong winds, waves form providing wave riding opportunities. The area is subject to significant coastal erosion, constantly changing the shape of the beach. The spot is wild and isolated, with no facilities in the immediate vicinity. The beauty of the site and the quality of conditions make it one of the most sought-after spots in Skåne. The spot is suitable for intermediate and advanced riders. Currents along the coast can be strong and vigilance is required. The best season runs from April to November.
