Öland island is one of the most popular kitesurfing destinations on Sweden's east coast, offering wide beaches and shallow waters ideal for beginners and intermediates. Southwest and south winds are dominant, with conditions also suitable in easterly winds. The kitesurfing season runs from May to October. The spot benefits from exceptional sunshine, as Öland is one of Sweden's sunniest regions.
