De Vooroever is a flat-water kitesurf spot on the IJsselmeer near Medemblik (Noord-Holland). Shallow standing water, ideal for beginners and freestyle. Part of the popular IJsselmeer kitesurf network. Good for paddle and sup foiling too.

Works with N/NE/E/NW/W. Shallow — good standing area. Quiet spot. Year-round accessible. Nearby: Schellinkhout (another popular IJsselmeer spot, 15km south). Medemblik is a historic sailing town with a medieval castle (Kasteel Radboud) and good facilities.
