Overview
Baarland is located along the Western Scheldt (Westerschelde) and is one of the few Dutch spots rideable with south wind. The flat-choppy water is suitable for freeride and freestyle, but strong currents and the shipping channel make it intermediate riders only. Rideable at both high and low tide. Free parking. Vertigo Sports is active here.

Westerschelde — flat to choppy tidal water. Salt water. Strong currents (2–3 knots). Tide-dependent window (~2h HT). Shallow at high tide (standing area). Sharp seabed (booties). Major shipping vessels offshore. Ideal freestyle/freeride when conditions right.
