Chaon is currently the only spot where kitesurfing is officially authorized on Lac St-Point. It's a grass beach but you'll have to share the space with beachgoers who sometimes park on the launch area.

Parking is free but an anti-campervan barrier blocks access for large vehicles in summer.
The spot works in Southwest wind.
Some trees along the shore disturb the launch. In case of drifting, you end up in the Chaon cove completely sheltered from wind, with a small beach quite far away to hope to get out, otherwise you end up in the reeds.
