Overview

Paltaniemi is a kitesurfing and snowkite spot located on the shores of Lake Oulujarvi in Kajaani, central Finland. This large lake offers vast expanses of flat water in summer and ice in winter, ideal for kiting. Variable winds on the lake but often from the southwest. Sandy bottom, freshwater. Suited for intermediate riders. Snowkite in winter on the frozen lake with good conditions. Altitude 121 m. Wetsuit required in summer.
