Overview

Knokke - Duinbergen is a kitesurf spot at Duinbergen, the western section of Knokke-Heist (West Flanders). This spot has an atypical wind rose — the Zeebrugge port immediately to the west blocks W winds, making N/NNE/NE/ENE/E the working directions here. A unique spot on the Belgian coast where easterly winds can be used (normally forbidden as offshore elsewhere).

Large tidal range. No obstacles in the water at Duinbergen. Parking on the dike nearby. Beginners-friendly. Verify current access rules with local clubs — zone regulations may have evolved.
