<![CDATA[Rye is a kitesurfing spot located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, on the southern shore of Port Phillip Bay. It is a popular seaside resort offering good kitesurfing conditions in the calm waters of the bay. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest to west in summer. The bay offers flat water to small chop conditions. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom. The beach is long and well exposed to prevailing winds. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediates. The water is cold, a wetsuit is required. Rye has accommodation, restaurants, and shops. It is a popular holiday destination on the peninsula.]]>
