El Murciélago is a popular beach in Manta, in the Manabí province of Ecuador. Located right in the city center, this urban beach is easily accessible but offers limited kitesurfing conditions due to tourist crowds. The thermal wind blows from the southwest during the dry season (May to December), with intensities of 12 to 18 knots. The beach is exposed to Pacific waves. The spot is better suited to surfing than kitesurfing due to limited space on the beach. This spot is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders who can handle waves and beach crowds.
