La Herradura is a bay located in the Coquimbo region of Chile. This sheltered bay offers calmer waters than the exposed beaches, ideal for kitesurfing. Wind from the south to southwest sector blows in the afternoon between 15 and 22 knots from September to March. The bay provides some protection from the offshore swell. The spot is suitable for beginner to intermediate riders thanks to the relatively calm waters of the bay.
