Overview

The Upleward spot is located on the North Sea coast in East Frisia, Lower Saxony. This coastal spot offers a vast tidal flat that is exposed at low tide, with ideal kitesurfing conditions when the wind blows from the west to northwest sector. Tides play a major role: at low tide, the water retreats far, leaving large stretches of sand. At high tide, the spot offers shallow water, suitable for intermediate kitesurfers. Beware of tidal currents and mudflat areas.
