Saint-Gilles is a lagoon on the west coast of La Réunion, in a marine nature reserve, presented as a kitesurfing and windsurfing spot. The trade wind generally comes from the south-east and accelerates around the island; the west coast gets less wind. Sources differ on level (beginners to experienced in a sheltered lagoon, or intermediates). Reserve rules to be checked.
