Overview

Plage de Plaisance, at Le Douhet (Île d'Oléron), is a shallow-water initiation beach, sheltered from swell, with a zone reserved for kiting on the left part of the beach. North and north-east winds are the most favourable; south-east to east-south-east is also favourable (morning breeze of about 8-10 knots dropping between 10 and 11 am); the south wind is turbulent near the trees. In a pure northerly, fall back to La Gautrelle.
