Overview

La Bergerie is a beach on the Giens peninsula (Hyères), facing Porquerolles. In the mistral (west), the water is flat and sheltered from swell, suited to freeride, slalom and freestyle; in an easterly or south-easterly sea wind, waves can be powerful. Opinions on level differ: all levels in the mistral according to one guide, intermediate to advanced for kiting according to one school.
