Overview
Narbonne-Plage — Créneau Naturel. The wildest beach of Narbonne, 1.6 km of sand up to 300 m wide towards Gruissan. Stunning views of the Pyrenees on clear days. One of the rare Mediterranean beaches where land sailing is also practiced alongside kitesurf.
Tramontane less regular than at Vieille Nouvelle a few km west, but still guarantees beautiful sessions on a flat sea. Official kite zone marked on the beach.
Three wind types: Tramontane NW (flat sea, offshore), summer thermal, and Marin SE (waves). Between Saint-Pierre-la-Mer and Gruissan Les Ayguades.

Sea — Mediterranean. Tramontane NW: offshore, flat glassy water — speed and freestyle. Less regular than Vieille Nouvelle but still powerful. Marin SE: onshore beachbreak, medium to powerful waves. Sandy bottom. Deep quickly offshore.
Parking
Free parking near the camping-car area at Créneau Naturel. D332 towards Gruissan, follow water park signs. Camping-car area allows multi-day stays right next to the spot. Huge space for rigging — no problem finding room. Height restriction barrier at access.
Wind specificities
Tramontane (NW/NNW): dominant wind. OFFSHORE — flat glassy sea. Less regular than Vieille Nouvelle a few km west, but still powerful. Beautiful flat water sessions.
Marin (SE/S): onshore — beachbreak waves, medium to powerful. Good wave riding conditions.
Summer thermal: SE sea breeze, lighter but regular.
Land sailing also practiced on this beach — unique in Mediterranean France.
Hazards
Tramontane OFFSHORE: pushes out to sea — intermediate to advanced riders only. Know how to self-rescue and ride upwind before going out.
Marin SE onshore: beachbreak waves can be powerful. Shore break close to beach.
Summer restrictions: kite forbidden during beach surveillance hours. Respect swim zones. Lifeguard station #4.
Cohabitation: dedicated land sailing zone — keep clear. Beach very wide (up to 300 m) but busy in summer.
