Lassarga is the southern tip of the Dakhla peninsula, about 25 min from town. On the lagoon side the water is flat and shallow, suited to beginners; on the ocean side there are waves, rather for intermediate and advanced riders according to one operator (other sources say beginners can learn there). Ocean Vagabond (ION Club) base with lessons and Duotone rental.

Ocean: right-hand point break, 1.5 km beach. Wave breaks along sandy point, rideable 50cm–2m+. Up to 1 km rides. Offshore wind = clean glassy wave. Surf, kite wave, wingfoil. Walk back along beach to peak.
Lagoon (satellite spot): 10 min by 4x4. Flat, shallow, side-shore. Beginners, freestyle. Combine both for progression.

Ocean: waves 0.5–2m+ (best Oct–March). Sandy bottom and point. Lagoon: flat, shallow, sandy. Water 19–23°C. Wetsuit 3/2mm, shorty summer.
Parking
Southern tip of Dakhla peninsula, 20 min drive from Dakhla town. Camps provide transfers from airport. Eco-lodge accommodation directly on the beach facing the wave spot. Lagoon access 10 min by 4x4.
Wind specificities
NE trade wind, offshore on the ocean wave (creates clean, glassy conditions). Side-shore on lagoon side. 15–25+ knots. Wind blows year-round, strongest April–October. Winter (Oct–March) lighter wind but bigger waves.
Hazards
Ocean side: waves can be powerful, rocks at low tide at the point. Current along the beach. Not as crowded as main lagoon but respect surf priority rules. Lagoon side: very safe, shallow. Sun exposure intense.
