Presque Isle Park - Middle Bay is a kitesurf spot located in Presque Isle Park, in Marquette, on the southern shore of Lake Superior, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Marquette is the largest city in the Upper Peninsula and this iconic park offers spectacular access to Lake Superior. Middle Bay provides partial protection from Presque Isle point, but Lake Superior remains powerful and cold. Exceptional natural setting with rocky cliffs and boreal forests.

Lake Superior water body in Middle Bay. The bay offers partial protection from Presque Isle point, but waves of 1 to 2 meters remain frequent in north to northeast winds. Frigid water year-round (maximum 15°C in summer) — drysuit strongly recommended, thick full wetsuit minimum. Rocky and sandy bottom. Spectacular landscape with Presque Isle's red sandstone cliffs.
Hazards
Frigid Lake Superior water with rapid hypothermia risk — appropriate thermal gear mandatory. Submerged rocks and cliffs in the Presque Isle area. Currents possible around the point. Powerful waves in north winds. Violent thunderstorms possible. Lake Superior does not forgive mistakes. Never ride alone. Complete safety equipment recommended. Spot reserved for advanced riders.
