Overview

Lago Merín is a kitesurfing spot in the Cerro Largo department, in eastern Uruguay. This large border lake with Brazil offers a vast freshwater body for kitesurfing.

Prevailing winds come from the south, southeast, and northeast. The lake offers a large body of water with flat to moderate chop depending on wind strength. Water is fresh and warm in summer.
