Tambo Bay is a kitesurfing spot located in East Gippsland, Victoria, in the sheltered waters of the Gippsland Lakes system. This spot offers a calm and flat body of water, ideal for freeriding and learning to kitesurf. The prevailing southwest to west winds blow across the bay, offering regular conditions. The body of water is protected from ocean waves, creating flatwater conditions appreciated by riders of all levels. Summer thermal breezes strengthen the winds in the afternoon. Access is via local roads in East Gippsland. The spot is relatively isolated with limited services nearby. Watch out for shallows and sandbars.
