Overview

Quaranup is a kitesurfing spot located near Albany, on the south coast of Western Australia. This historic spot (former quarantine station) offers a sheltered body of water in Princess Royal Harbour. Dominant south to southwest winds blow consistently. The harbour offers protection from swells, with calmer water than the ocean beaches of the region. The spot is suitable for intermediates. Access is from Albany. Parking is available. Albany has all amenities. Watch out for boats in the harbour and shallow areas.
