The municipal park offers direct lake access with parking, lawn for launching, and amenities. It's the most frequented spot by the Dallas kite community. The body of water is expansive with good fetch for south wind. The vibe is friendly with an active local rider community.

Fresh water of Lake Ray Hubbard. Muddy bottom. Flat to choppy water. No tide. Warm water in summer. The park offers comfortable grass launch. Good fetch for S and SE winds. Chop develops quickly in strong wind.
Hazards
Heavy boat traffic on weekends (jet skis, water skiing). Violent and sudden thunderstorms (tornadoes possible in Texas). Submerged obstacles possible. Power lines near the shore. Respect swimming areas.
