Nantucket Sound body of water with flat to moderate chop conditions. Excellent fetch in thermal southwest winds. Shallow water near the beach, allowing standing. Moderate tidal currents. Ideal conditions for progression and freestyle.

Hazards

Very crowded spot in summer – watch out for other kitesurfers. Tidal currents in the Sound. Ferry traffic to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. Cold water – wetsuit required. Respect the dedicated kite zone.
