Boca Paila is a wild spot located in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, south of Tulum. The easterly trade winds blow over an open body of water between lagoon and ocean, offering varied conditions.

The isolation of the spot and the lack of infrastructure require good self-sufficiency. The ocean-side waves attract wave riding enthusiasts.
