Overview

Egmond aan Zee is a wide sandy beach on the Noord-Holland coast, open year-round for kitesurfing. There are two kite zones: north and south of the beach access point. Caution at the north zone: submerged shipwreck. The beach is well-exposed to NW–SW winds with mostly choppy to small waves. Strong currents are common. Not suitable for beginners.

The beach extends toward Bergen aan Zee (north) and Castricum aan Zee (south), and is known for being quieter than the main tourist beach, with ample space for launching.
