Ocean beach spot with waves of 0.3 to 1.5m. Moderate shore break. Water is among the warmest in California (15-22°C/59-72°F), shorty or 3/2 depending on season. Sandy bottom with some rocks toward the south (La Jolla direction). Spacious riding area offshore. Tourmaline reef can create interesting waves for wave riding.

Hazards

Rocky reefs to the south toward La Jolla — keep your distance. Shared area with surfers (very popular surf spot) — respect priorities. Drift currents along the coast. Municipal regulations on kite zones — check restrictions. Limited parking and access via stairs from the cliff. Occasional kelp offshore.
