Exposed ocean spot with waves of 0.5 to 2.5m depending on swell. Water is cold (10-14°C/50-57°F), a 4/3 wetsuit is essential year-round. Sandy bottom with rocks. Very strong tidal currents at the Tomales Bay mouth. Powerful shore break. The spot can be swept by wind and North Pacific swell.

Powerful shore break. Isolated environment — rescue services far away. Frequent and sudden fog. Submerged rocks in places.
