Part of the classic South Bay trio with Hermosa and Manhattan Beach, Redondo offers a sandy beach with regular southwest to northwest afternoon thermal winds. King Harbor and its jetty — keep your distance, currents near the harbor entrance. Busy area with surfers, swimmers, and anglers. Drift currents along the coast. Local regulations on kite zones — check before each session. Recreational boat traffic from the marina. Shore break on swell days.
