Overview

The Strand is a kitesurfing spot located in Townsville, in northern Queensland. This iconic Townsville coastal promenade offers direct beach access with regular windy conditions.

The spot works with the southeast trade winds from May to November. Urban beach with shallow waters. Suitable for intermediate riders. Watch out for jellyfish during the wet season. Many amenities along The Strand. Views of Magnetic Island.
