Overview

Ueckeritz est situé sur l'étroit isthme central de l'île d'Usedom, entre la Baltique et l'Achterwasser (lagon intérieur). Le spot de kite se trouve côté Achterwasser, au nord du village, à la Segelschule. Immense stehrevier peu profond sur ~200m, puis eau plus profonde avec légère vague de vent. Parfait pour débutants et freestyle. Le Café Knatter, directement au spot, est une institution locale — pension, restaurant, douches et école de surf/kite réunis.

Avantage unique : par vents dominants d'W, le lagon de l'Achterwasser offre des conditions plates et constantes, là où la côte Baltique serait trop choppy ou downwind. Un des spots de lagon les plus appréciés d'Allemagne.

Depuis la B111, suivre les panneaux "Segelschule" à Ueckeritz — le spot est côté Achterwasser (lagon), pas côté Ostsee. Parking payant à la Surfschule. Lancement des kites dans l'eau (depuis le bord). S'inscrire à la surfschule avant la session pour infos et accès aux douches.

Wind specificities

Meilleures directions : S à NW (vent arrivant librement sur le lagon). Par vent d'Ouest, on peut longer toute la longueur de l'Achterwasser. Seul le vent d'Est crée de l'abri côté rivage. Conditions plates et stehrevier sur 200m dans toutes les directions favorables.
