Overview

Cumberland Island is the largest barrier island in Georgia, offering wild and preserved beaches along the Atlantic coast. This kitesurf spot features long stretches of sand facing the ocean, with regular wave and wind conditions. The island is a national park, accessible only by ferry, which limits crowds. Tidal currents can be powerful in the passes between the islands.
