Ma Simes Surf Hut

Ma Simes Surf Hut is one of the original surf shops in Wales. Founded in 1977 in a shed at the bottom of Ma's garden at Whitesands Bay, it later moved to the High Street in St Davids, Pembrokeshire.

The shop sells new and second-hand surfboards, wetsuits (kids, men's, women's, winter), bodyboards, skimboards, hardware (wax, leashes, fins, bags, repair kits), boots, gloves and hoods, changing robes and its own clothing, with an online shop.

Ma Simes Surf School runs lessons at Whitesands Bay for beginners, improvers and private groups, with ASI- or ISA-accredited coaches who are also qualified beach lifeguards. Lessons are for ages 8 and over (students must swim 50 metres). Board and wetsuit hire is pre-booked up to 24 hours ahead.
