Lapoint Premium Surf Camp Los Clavos

Lapoint Premium Surf Camp is a surf camp at Los Clavos, on Nicaragua's north coast, in a remote spot by the ocean. It is run by the Norwegian travel operator Lapoint Travels, which runs other camps worldwide, including El Sunzal in El Salvador.

Guests stay in bungalows a few steps from the waves, with a pool. The programme includes up to two surf sessions a day with an instructor, in small groups of about three students, from beginner to advanced, plus surf guiding for those after more challenging waves. The spot is chosen each day according to conditions: a beach break in front of the camp, the barrelling wave known as The Boom a short beach walk away, and Nahulapa a little further.

The camp is open all year, with a dry season from November to April. Packages and prices are detailed on the operator's website.
