NIHI Rote

NIHI Rote is a luxury resort at Bo'a on the south-west coast of Rote island, in southern Indonesia. Opened in 2026 and part of the NIHI group (like NIHI Sumba), it has 21 villas and duplex estates, each with a private plunge pool, facing a white-sand beach about a kilometre long where the Bo'a Barrel breaks.

The resort offers surf lessons taught by its own watermen, lasting about an hour and a half and depending on the season and swell: private for one student or in small groups of up to four. Beginners can head to the calmer Nembrala beach. Children have a one-hour tandem surf session on a stable board. A surfari lets guests explore other waves around the island.

Beyond surfing, the resort offers diving, freediving, foiling, mangrove paddleboarding, private fishing trips and an excursion to the Telaga Nirwana lagoon. Lesson prices are given on request.
