Cape Town Kite Club

Cape Town Kite Club is a lodge and kite house for kitesurfers, windsurfers and wingfoilers at Big Bay (Bloubergstrand), Cape Town, about 80 m from the Big Bay kite spot. The house has seven bedrooms (six private rooms with bathroom and one dorm-style room), open-plan living, a large self-catering kitchen, an enclosed garden with a pool, garden gym and slackline, and fibre internet.

The atmosphere is social: shared meals, group downwinders, a weekly braai, and a house manager who answers questions on wind and spots. The lodge does not run a kite school but refers guests to local schools, without commission.

It rents kitesurfing equipment with its partner North Kiteboarding (North Orbit and Reach kites, twin tips, wave boards, harnesses, wetsuits), by the day for guests and with a three-day minimum for non-guests; rentals are intended for competent kitesurfers.
