La Famiile Pousada (Kite Mansion) Tremembé

La Famiile Pousada is a twelve-room pousada right on the beach at Tremembé, a fishing village in the municipality of Icapuí (Ceará). According to its website it opened in 2008 as Kite Mansion, founded by Sam Gaillard who had discovered the Icapuí coast in 2007, and was fully renovated in 2016.

The site presents it as a place for kiters: secure storage space for kite gear, air-conditioned rooms, pool, European and Brazilian breakfast. Through local partners, guests can take kite lessons, rent equipment and book coaching; the hotel does not name these partners. The advertised wind season runs from early June to late December, with 18 to 25 knots on average and warm, shallow water suited to beginners.
