Kitebar Hotel Cumbuco

KiteBar Hotel is a hotel designed by kitesurfers for kitesurfers, opened on 26 December 2019 in Cumbuco. It is less than 50 m from the beach, right at the kitespot; only a beach bar with a free-to-use compressor lies between the hotel and the beach. The village center is about 500 m away and Fortaleza international airport 35 km.

The website states that the final of the kitesurf world championship takes place less than 500 m down the beach and that from July to December the probability of kiteable wind is well above 90% (the hotel's own claim). Free on-site parking; staff speak Portuguese, German, English and Spanish. The hotel highlights a sustainable approach (solar-heated water, grey water and rainwater collection, reduced single-use plastics).
